The presidents of the host nations Austria and the Czech Republic have agreed to patronage the EuroVolley 2011 (10^th to 18^th September 2011).

“I happily patronage the European Championships 2011 in Austria and the Czech Republic and I wish the event a lot of success”, said the president of Austria Heinz Fischer.

“Czech president Vaclav Klaus was a Volleyball player himself and now also Heinz Fischer is aboard. It is a big honour for Volleyball sport, that the highest ranking representatives of both countries support the event”, said the president of the Austrian Volleyball Federation Peter Kleinmann.

At the European championships Austria’s Men’s national team is set to challenge Serbia, turkey and Slovenia in the Stadthalle of Vienna. The other locations for the games are Innsbruck, Prague and Carlovy Vary. The Final will be played on September 18^th in Vienna.
